Hello from Norway,

I bought my first Doral in March 2006 in a Norwegian boat conference. In July, the boat was sent on a ship to Norway and in August, the boat was here. It was the happiest day of my life! My Monticello was on the water two days later. I had a few beautiful months with the boat before I had to take it up for the winter season. The boat was on the sea in April 2007 and this is the best boat I ever had, I just love it!

Now, I just received my new Prestancia!

What options do they find superior or unique compared to our competitors? The wine rack, thick sun pad, the electric table on the Elegante, huge engine room with easy access, pop up cleats, the sliding seat and the nice walk around space on the outside of the boat. All of those things are nice, but it is the fit and finish being so good that really sells the boat. If a person knows how to identify superior quality, then they buy a Doral.

My husband and I bought a new 330 this year (just launched last weekend), and ours was a lengthy decision making process. What made us choose Doral over competitors?

We had written a contract on a Maxum when we stumbled on the Doral at the Annapolis boat show. Honestly, I had never heard of Doral Boats. From the minute we walked on board we were sold. The impeccable details and craftsmanship closed the deal. Every feature and space is so well thought out and user friendly. We read every single word on every single page of the Doral web site and brochure over and over and over. I literally read the brochures so much that they would fall apart.

What features do you like best on your boat?

  • For us, the main attraction is the open cockpit layout giving everyone the opportunity to socialize
  • The boat is well powered, even with the standard engines and handles like a dream
  • The quality vinyl and seamark canvas are first rate -- no squeaks or rattles
  • The shiny anchor and teak swim deck dress the boat up beautifully and are unique
  • The screen door is a tremendous feature
  • The toilet paper stays dry (this is my first boat ever with that quality!!)

What options do we find superior or unique compared to competitors?
Best features (besides those mentioned above):

  • Extensive transom windows give the boat a nice exterior appearance, and lots of light inside
  • Quality wood details on the steering wheel and tables are very upscale and unique
  • Heavy duty cleats, bow rail and hardware are a good scale with the boat
  • Carpets, fabrics, cabinetry, lighting, seating, etc. are constructed of contemporary, high-grade materials
  • The stateroom (midcabin) is very cozy and comfortable

What is it about the company itself that you like?

  • Company representatives are accessible
  • Doral takes SERIOUS pride in their products

We truly felt like our boat was "custom" made for us, it was a very personal and satisfying transaction. To take it one step further, you could make a teeny plaque that reads (for example) "Doral 330se, commissioned by Scott & Cassie Cataline, February 12, 2004" to install somewhere on every new boat, we plan on doing this ourselves.

Our boat met our expectations 100%, but mostly, I like that you care enough to ask our opinion.
